Verdict: NOT-EXPRESSIBLE

GAP TYPE = outside FBA scope (the deliverable is not a secreted metabolite: electrode current, cell-free enzymatic depolymerization, or biomass). Polyurethane polymer has no exchange (recalcitrant; cell-free urethanase/laccase depolymerization, not a GEM reaction). Its monomers are absent from the corpus: no aromatic diamine (toluene-2,4-diamine / 4,4'-methylenedianiline: 0 aniline*/toluene*/aromatic-diamine ids) and no polyether/polyester polyol or diol (0 polyol*/butanediol*/urethane* ids). The only diamines present are native endogenous polyamines putrescine ('ptrc' 13382, ~85% universal) and cadaverine ('15dap' 3530), which are metabolites every cell makes, not PU-depolymerization products. MARKET DEMAND: Post-consumer polyurethane foam (mattresses, insulation, seating) is overwhelmingly landfilled or incinerated and largely unrecyclable; enzymatic depolymerization to recover polyols/diamines is an emerging green end-of-life route. Payer = tipping fee / EPR producer-responsibility liability plus recovered-polyol sale. Scientific-unmet (earliest-stage of the set).
