Every claim here is computed; every drop reason and known limit is listed below.

Verdict: NOT-EXPRESSIBLE

GAP TYPE = vocabulary absence (the target metabolite has no exchange in the corpus at all). No terephthalate/terephthalic-acid (TPA) exchange in the corpus: searches for terephthal*/tere* return 0 hits, and the only near-code 'pta' (3718 models) is a different near-universal metabolite, not the specialty aromatic diacid. PET polymer itself has no exchange either: depolymerization is cell-free cutinase/PETase enzymology, not a GEM network reaction (same class as chitin). Only ethylene glycol ('glycol', 602 models), the minor coproduct, is present; the rPET-defining monomer TPA and the PET feedstock are both absent. MARKET DEMAND: EU Single-Use Plastics Directive mandates 25% recycled content in PET beverage bottles by 2025 and 30% in all SUP beverage bottles by 2030 (binding EU law). Payer = brand owners forced by the recycled-content mandate plus EPR fees, and gate/tipping fees on hard-to-recycle colored/textile/multilayer PET feedstock. Regulatory demand.
